Tito Karnavian, the former Head of the Indonesian
police in West Papua, said yesterday that "Police have the authority to
violate human rights while on duty"
Speaking about peaceful West Papuans advocating for
Independence, Tito Karnavian once said, "If they resist then you can go
for coercive methods".
The Indonesian police have no respect for human rights
and are sent to West Papua not to protect West Papuans but to kill West
Papuans.
